You read that right. From now on you will be able to send private messages to your favorite users and start conversations with them. This gives you the possibility to create intimate moments, reward the fans you think deserve it and go as far as you want in your relationships with your followers.
This new feature allows you to send messages of up to 1,000 characters that users can reply to whenever they want, creating a private conversation with the same rules and restrictions that you have in public chats.
In order to start a conversation with a user, you must be broadcasting and they must be in your room. Just click on the chat icon from your Broadcast screen and you will see all the users that are connected to your room, which are the ones you can start a new conversation with.
Here you will also see your inbox, where you’ll be able to see all the old messages and filter them in three categories:
- All,
- New,
- Online in my room (Available) or
- Read.
If at any time you want to stop receiving notifications of a conversation, you can archive it and come back to it whenever you want. And if you want to activate the notifications of that conversation again, you only have to unarchive it.
You can also access your inbox from the Home page by clicking on the chat icon next to the notifications bell. Keep in mind that from here you won’t be able to start a conversation with new users. Remember that you must be broadcasting to do that!
In addition, with Private Messages you can also receive tips and attach images or videos from your public or private albums. You can also block or report annoying users if you wish.
Only you will be able to start conversations with your fans! Once started, they will be able to continue them as long as you do not block them.
